A New Shade of Pink!

Lucky me. In January when I got a phone call from my good friend suggesting she would buy me a ticket to see Pink for my birthday present I had some reservations. I had not been to a concert since my late teens and that was a few lifetimes ago!

From Central Queensland in Australia where I live it is a bit more than getting in the car and heading to the venue. This special event required booking of airline tickets and hotel. Both my friend and I are single mothers and sitters and school transport were part of the arrangement as well. Let me tell you every bit of planning was worth it and then some!

Pink! No wonder most of Australia has gone or is going to see her. What also surprised me was how the audience was on the "older side" ,30's 40's and even 50's.

I think one of her great appeals is how personal she is. This show FUN HOUSE oozes her inner self ( or so it seemed) and is such a personal insight into her head. ( isn't that what music is about?)

She is fun loving, cheeky, super professional, a high achiever a body that has made me decide to get back to some exercise! Her singing is like your best mate telling you a story. It goes right to your soul.

The acrobatics were graceful. What an amazing mix of emotions she can provoke!!
Pink seems to be a great role model for women and younger women. Self respect, self esteem come hand in hand. Being the top of your profession especially hers takes dedication and huge focus. What a great inspiration for us all.
Thanks Pink for making my year.

Honeymoon in Tibet

Wow! I feel like I have just climbed the Mt. Everest of IT mountains in my world! I'm in need of oxygen and have cyber-bitten fingertips and toes. ( My feet are numb from hanging down for so long) I am certainly not computer savvy. I 'm getting closer to being something more than I was but savvy- not.
The last few weeks have been like a virgin training for her honeymoon in Tibet.
For so many reasons I decided to do my own web site. I don;t even know what FTP is or the language of coding.
It is up and running. It looks great from up top and in hind sight I can see where it could have been better. But still, my flag is flying high from the summit.
If there is anything you thought you thought you should have a crack at- go for it! You will fee rewarded if you persist. Ask friends and colleagues for help and if you really want you can Google it!
Once again I have proven that 'Anything Is Possible!'

Are we there yet?

How many times have you traveled with children or as children and heard the words
"Are we there yet?" Did you miss the small things along the way that actually make the trip more interesting and enjoyable? Kinda like life hugh?

You can plan a trip all you like but to get there you need to go with the flow. You may get a flat tire that has the best ice cream shop next to it! When you get to the other end how do you feel? Excited to have had the best ice cream experience or frustrated at the flat tire?

Our thoughts create our actions. Our actions create our reality. Our reality is our life. What does your life look like right now? Is it the way you want it to be? What were you thinking to get to now?

What will you think and create for you tomorrow?

'Anything Is Possible' When you are riding the wave of life! Are you riding on a high tide or beachcombing on a low one?

Lately there have been some fabulous high tides at the beach at the end of my road. I marvel at the power of the ocean. As it receeds it holds a fascinating trail of what it brought in from it's depths. Real treasures.

Our lives are a lot like that too! Our emotions are often compared to a waves. " A wave of emotions". When things get tough we often get overwhelmed with emotions and in that turmoil it's like being caught in a rip. We fight it and struggle against the current.

If we would take a moment to still ourself and go with the flow and see where it is taking us we could have a much better outcome.

Next time you are caught in the rip of emotions that are taking you out to sea, stop and take a breath. Our emotions are powerful reminders that we often ignore. In that breath explore what your emotions are trying to tell you. What is the truth behind your feelings.

When you come out of the rip and come to shore you may feel another wave of emotions. Exhaustion is more than likely. In the stillness of coming out of a time when you where overwhelmed, it is important to take the time to rest, reflect and discover the treasure you found in your journey.

Your treasure from the depths of the sea, like the reflections of the beach glass you may find will cast light on where you need to go next.

Beach glass is also nicknamed Mermaids Tears. What would a Mermaid have to cry about? Wouldn't a Mermaids' tears just mix in with sea water anyway? Are a Mermaids tears made of salt water like ours?
